Farewell, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends

Farewell, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends is going away 🙁 And while it’s always sad to see a beloved toon move on, at least we can do it in style! Cartoon Network celebrates the final episodes of the animated series with a six-hour Foster’s marathon of five episodes, including the series finale, Goodbye to Bloo. The marathon airs this Sunday, May 3rd, from 1 to 7pm. The toon debuted on Cartoon Network on August 13th, 2004, so it had a nice long run. Let’s give it a good home here at ToonBarn!

Arthur Christmas

Arthur Christmas

It might seem a little too early (or too late?) to be talking about Christmas stuff, but it’s still fun!! Aardman Features teams once again with Sony Pictures Imageworks to produce a CG animated project called Arthur Christmas. The movie asks the question I’ve wondered my whole life: How does Santa deliver all his presents in one night. Let’s hope we get some answers from the big man!

The bait for the trap isn’t just appealing to Snipes. Check it out after the break!

Pirates!

Pirates!

Yaaarg!! Not only is it fun to speak like a pirate, but Sony Pictures and Aardman Features (Yaargman Features?) are hoping it will be fun to watch pirates as well. The two are working together on a stop-motion animated movie called Pirates! based on the book series of the same name by author Gideon Defoe. The swashbuckling adventure will follow a group of pirates who journey to London. The crew meets up with Charles Darwin and Mister Bobo, a talking chimp, all while enemy crews try to wipe them out.

Freakazoid season two

Freakazoid season two

Only eleven episodes were made for Freakazoid season two before the show was sadly canceled. But that doesn’t make it any less special! It was one of the funniest cartoons of it’s day, and would look so pretty sitting there on your DVD shelf, now that it’s available for purchase. The 2-disc set includes all episodes and a number of bonus features, as well as a 20-minute documentary style discussion on the show’s final season.
