For instance, the Saiyans all have vegetable-oriented names (Kakarotto/Carrot, Broly/Brocolli, Raditz/Radish, etc.), the Bulma family is named after undergarments (Trunks, Bra, Dr. Briefs) and Piccolo’s henchmen were musical instruments (Drums, Cymbals, Tambourine). It is not surprising that the antagonists in Battle of Gods also have thematic pun-names, but contrary to what fans initially thought, Bills and Whis were not named after “Bells” and “Whistles.”
