The CG-animated threequel featuring the classic singing critters is locked, loaded, and ready for the big screen this coming weekend. Entitled Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, the 3rd movie in the big screen Alvin and the Chipmunks series follows our favorie furry vocal maestros and their female counterparts, the Chipettes, as they get marooned in a tropical paradise.
Naturally, the film is peppered with various crazy antics and song and dance numbers that will definitely stick to your head long after you’ve left the theater. The film also features the return of Jason Lee as David Seville, and David Cross as the nefarious Ian Hawke.
Directed by Mike Mitchell (of Shrek Forever After), features 200 more CG shots than the 2007 sequel, which animation director Kevin Johnson describes as featuring “wall-to-wall chipmunks”. Johnson further notes that the film is still a classic family comedy, but will offer a few surprises for the fans.
