According to an Entertainment Weekly report, The Legend of Korra has bolstered its voice cast list with several new stars, in preparation for the upcoming second season. The new additions include Aubrey Plaza, Lisa Edelstein, and James Remar.
Aubrey Plaza, whose past credits include Parks and Recreation, will be providing the voice for one of Korra’s waterbending cousins, Eska. Aaron Himelstein will voice Eska’s twin brother, Desna, and Veteran TV actor James Remar will be lending his voice to Korra’s powerful waterbending father, Tonraq. Lisa Edelstein will voice Kya, Tenzin’s sweet-yet-impatient sister.
The show’s second season (or Book 2) will pick up six months after the events in the first season’s finale, with Korra having won the battle against Amon and the Equalists. The new season will have the Avatar facing even more challenges “as the physical and spirits world collide.” Book 2 will consist of 14 episodes and will debut later this year.
