Marvel Future Avengers gets second season

The Avengers aren’t done just yet in Japan. Japanese satellite channel Dlife has confirmed that Marvel Future Avengers will receive a second season this summer. The 26 episode first season is part of a cross-media project that launched last April with a manga series in Bessatsu Coro Coro Comics Special. The anime itself debuted later on July 22, 2017.

Dlife began streaming a promotional video to announce the second season:

The first season centred around Makoto, a young boy who is granted superpowers through a gene manipulation experiment. Alongside a group of other gifted youths, Makoto joins the legendary Avengers superhero team as part of their apprentice program, the Future Avengers. Together the group learns to fight the forces of evil with the help of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp.

The returning cast includes Eiji Hanawa as Iron Man, Kazuhiro Nakaya as Captain America, Yasuyuki Kase as Thor, Kenichirou Matsuda as Hulk, Kaori Mizuhashi as Wasp, Aki Kanada as Makoto, Atsushi Tamaru as Adi and Juri Kimura as Kuroe. The creative staff behind the first season of Marvel Future Avengers will return. Yuzo Sato is back as director, as is writer Ryuu King and character designer Takahiro Umehara. The animation will continue to be produced by Madhouse.

Studiopolis is producing an English dub of the first season, though it’s not confirmed if it’ll be released outside of Asia.
