1960s TV Classic Batman Gets Animated in Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader
Batman! The Dark Knight is coming back to the legacy of the 1960s TV classic series in a new animated movie titled Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader. It is inspired by the Batman show, which broadcasted from 1966 to 1968 and will feature the voices of original series stars Burt Ward (Robin), Adam West (Batman) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman).
EW.com has just released a trailer showing Batman and Robin caught in an evil, high-sodium trap, tied to a giant TV dinner tray and little by little, being transported to their fiery doom. However, with the news of a brand new animated feature to boost their morale, Batman and Robin make their breakout to confront the wicked machinations of Riddler, the Joker, Catwoman and Penguin.
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader is from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. It will be released on October 11 on Digital HD and on November 1 on Blu-ray.
