Frank Miller in Talks for Batman vs. Superman
According to a recent report from The Independent, Warner Brothers and Man of Steel director Zach Snyder are currently in talks with The Dark Knight Returns author Frank Miller regarding the studio’s upcoming Batman/Superman film. Comic book fans will remember that Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, which was published in 1986, was one of the first comic book yarns that pitted Superman against Batman in a real fight – and by real we’re talking about a fight that isn’t the result of a misunderstanding nor mind control, and it most certainly wasn’t a dream. It was a real fight between two heroes – former friends – who had contrasting point of views.
It has been hinted at that Zach Snyder’s Batman-Superman movie will include plot elements addressed in The Dark Knight Returns, so it’s not surprising that the studio is trying to bring in Miller. According to The Independent’s report, Miller himself was surprised with the San Diego announcement, and that the meeting with Snyder will be used to go over the plans for the forthcoming film.
