The Lego Movie’s Batman Will Be Egotistical But Still Heroic

In a recent interview with Total Film magazine, The Lego Movie’s co-director Christopher Miller shared a few choice tidbits on the movie’s (Lego) portrayal of established DC characters, most notably Batman. According to Miller, the comedic portrayal of the Dark Knight (by Will Arnett) will feature a Batman that is fully aware of his status as a wealthy millionaire on top of being a super hero. Naturally, it all goes straight into his head. However, he notes that the Lego Batman is still a hero first and foremost, and will be doing exactly what you’d expect from the Batman:

“Will Arnett brings a lot to the character. The character is a little bit more egotistical and self-involved than other stuff we’ve seen him in. But in the end, he’s still a hero and does the right thing and is a badass.”
