San Diego Comic-Con 2013: Warner Bros. Confirms Superman/Batman Film

One of the big Comic-Con reveals on the DC side of the pond concerns the sequel for Man of Steel, not because nobody expected Zack Snyder’s film to have a sequel – the healthy box office take already makes that inevitable – but because the film is going to be a Batman and Superman movie.

One of the main reasons why nobody expected a World’s Finest movie is because they have no one to play the Batman yet, as Christian Bale’s version is still fresh in people’s minds, and the actor has firmly declined to reprise the role.

To serve as a teaser, Snyder asked Man of Steel actor Harry Lennix to read a line from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Strikes Again comic, the one that goes: I want you to remember my hand at your throat, I want you to remember the one man who beat you.

Snyder explained that the teaser doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll adapt DKSA, but it could point towards the caped crusader and the world’s biggest boy scout at least start with opposing viewpoints.
