Yuri Lowenthal Red Carpet Interview – Batman: Gotham by Gaslight Premiere

Yuri Lowenthal, who is best known in the worldwide animation community as Ben Tennyson in 3 consecutive Ben 10 series, including Alien Force, Ultimate Alien and Omniverse. He has been Red Robin and Son of Batman in other DC/Warner Bros movies, and has literally hundreds of anime, animation, video game, live-action and theatre credits as well. In 2004, Yuri launched Monkey Kingdom Productions, an independent film company, with business partner and wife, Tara Platt. MKP’s first feature film, written by Lowenthal, TUMBLING AFTER, is out on iTunes/DVD. He and Platt currently have five feature scripts and have co-authored a book on voice over: Voice-Over Voice Actor. Yuri also penned the novel Tough City.

Yuri Lowenthal, who is a very versatile voice actor, and fluent in 4 languages, tackles Harvey Dent, his latest role in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.

This time, Harvey Dent is in Gotham in the late 1800s, and he and Bruce Wayne have been friends since their school days, and it’s Harvey that introduces Bruce to Selina Kyle. It’s a new film adapted from a graphic novel published in 1989, written by Brian Augustyn and Art by Mike Mignola, titled Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, which will be released on Digital on January 23, 2018 and Blu-ray/DVD on February 6, 2018.

This past weekend, ToonBarn Head Writer Marc Morrell was fortunate to attend the World Premiere of Batman: Gotham by Gaslight at Newseum in Washington DC, as a kickoff event for the DC in DC 2018 Celebration for DC Entertainment. Before the premiere showing of the film, which also included a Cocktail Party and Post-film Q & A panel with the cast and crew, Marc conducted a few Red Carpet Interviews, including Harvey Dent himself, Yuri Lowenthal.

We would like to thank Yuri Lowenthal for his time on the red carpet in Washington DC. He is a perfectly two-faced Harvey Dent, who may lead you to wonder which side he’s on. We hope you are able to see Batman: Gotham by Gaslight to learn just why Yuri Lowenthal plays Harvey Dent just right.  We know our readers will appreciate this exclusive interview. To see our full review of the film, the contents of the Blu-ray/DVD and the other red carpet interviews for Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, please stay tuned to ToonBarn for more of our exclusive coverage in Washington DC.

I am a Big Fan of all types of animation. Like a lot of things, the cream always rises to the top. My favorites have included Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels, anything Pixar, Phineas and Ferb, Voltron Legendary Defender, and the DC/WB Animated Films. I have a lot of Old School favorites as well, such as Star Blazers, Voltron, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby Doo.
