Ben 10: Alien Swarm

Ben 10: Alien Swarm

What better way to celebrate the premiere of the new Ben 10 movie, Destroy All Aliens, than to look back at one of the older Ben 10 feature length films, particularly the 2nd live action one: Ben 10: Alien Swarm.

Ben 10: Alien Swarm is also a Man of Action production, and premiered back in November, 2009. The movie stars Ryan Kelley, Galadriel Stineman, and Nathan Keyes as Ben Tennyson, Gwen Tennyson, and Kevin Levin, respectively. The story focuses on a swarming alien menace that is planning to invade earth, and of course, there is only one force on earth who can stand in their way. Okay, make that a total of 10.

While Ben 10: Alien Swarm relies on cliched sci-fi tv settings such as factories, construction sites, and warehouses, the high production values prevent the film from looking like a shoddy made-for-TV movie. The lighting and camera work is fantastic, and really gives you a decent meant-for-the-big-screen Ben 10 experience.

If you’re in the mood for more Ben 10, you can tune in to Cartoon Network from March 19th to March 24th as they will showcase several new additions to the Ben 10 library, including a new show that features both the young and slightly less young Ben Tennyson working together – Ben 10: Omniverse.
