Comments on: How Would You Fix Ben 10? http://www.toonbarn.com/ben-10/fix-ben-10/ Cartoon news from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, The Hub, Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, CG animation, anime, movies, or any kind of cartoons! Decent story, likeable characters, it had just the right balance of action and humor. It was my favorite show at the time by far, I had all the little action figures, video game, etc. When Alien Force came out, I was a bit thrown off by the change in artwork and the time skip, but I grew to enjoy it, and Ultimate Alien more so. It had a darker, more serious tone, while still having some funny moments and plenty of action, and the artwork was all around an improvement. But Omniverse, I feel like it is just trying too hard to capture what made the original show great. Fact of the matter is, you can’t recreate originality. They should have stuck with What they had and improved it. If it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it, especially when you are only making it worse. I have seen all of the episodes so far. Personally, I’m not impressed, quite the opposite in fact. The background art is lazy (everything looks to be made of squares), and it seems as if they went out of their way to make the old aliens look silly while introducing even sillier new ones (did anyone else chuckle at the alien chicken-man?), and the humans didn’t get flattered much either. (Grandpa Max’s eye slits, Kevin looking like he should be robbing a bank rather than stopping it, Ben’s figure looking somewhat reminescent of Shaggy from Scooby Doo, or maybe a transformer from the Transformers Animated series, etc.) I would go so far as to say I wish Omniverse was never created in the first place.

I like the way they team up and the plot. In cartoon network, they were changing show time of ben10 and it sucks, before there’re 3 times a day for showing ben10 but nowadays it’s only one time at the morning! (In aisa time zone)

I would change the art style back into the UA version or better yet change it and the animation style to that seen in the Ben 10/Rex crossover. Next I would fire that dude that changed the art style and is basically trashing the franchise, can’t remember his name right this moment but he knows who he is and what he’s doing, I would also get a new writer to try and pick up where the late great Dwayne McDuffie left off(R.I.P.) because right now i feel like he’s (metaphorically) turning in his grave seeing where the Ben 10 franchise is at right now, basically Omniverse is a slap in the face to everything Dwayne established in AF and UA, not to mention the sub-par writing in Omniverse has created plotholes, such as the Primus plothole, the idiot writer tries to erase Primus from existence by using that Anilaaarg(terrible kiddish stupid name) to blow up the universe in that one episode, but in that exact same episode Ben used Alien X to create an exact replica of the previous universe which means Primus still exist so take that you idiot writer

I been a fan of Been 10 since the beginning and have always been excited to see the show and through the years it has gotten better and much more interesting. Well until now the style of the animation throws me off, key characters (Gwen and Kevin) I truly look forward to seeing is out the picture. I understood grandpa Max somewhat out the picture, but Gwen and Kevin helped carry the show forward their character development in my humble opinion was spot on. Now that they aren’t included along with with the let’s say different animation style is really driving me away from what was one of the best shows on Cartoon Network.

Just because the art is more stylized and cartoony doesn’t make it for preschoolers, and there are some really great details and designs if you can look part the derpy official art of Ben. The writing, too, I feel has gone up in quality. Sure, it’s sillier, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing – Omniverse has produced some of the best episodes of the franchise so far (I point to Ben Again as my prime example of this), and it’s doing a good job of balancing the silly with serious. The recent season finale, for example, was one of the darkest in Ben 10’s history. And while I do miss Gwen and Kevin, it’s not like they’re gone for good, and it’s not like UAF didn’t do the same thing with Grandpa Max.
