Rumour: A live-action Ben 10 series is in development

Entertainment news website Geeks Worldwide is reporting that Warner Bros. is developing a live-action Ben 10 series. According to their source, the show will likely be headed to the company’s upcoming streaming platform. Beyond that, details are under wraps.

Created by Man of Action in partnership with Cartoon Network, the original Ben 10 animated series debuted in 2005. A massive success, the brand inspired a number of followups and countless items of merchandise. In 2016, the property was relaunched with a more comedic flavour.

Ben 10 previously inspired two live-action television films in 2007 and 2009. A theatrical adaptation was announced in 2011, though news on that project went cold after writer Ryan Engle joined in 2013.

Geeks Worldwide might not carry the clout that a Hollywood Reporter, Variety or Deadline might, but the site has correctly reported on production details in the past. Just as a precaution, we’re still labeling this story a rumour.

While it remains to be seen how the dust will settle on this story, Ben 10 fans can look forward to more animated adventures. Cartoon Network renewed the reboot series for a fourth season back in January.
