New Screenshots from Ben 10: Omniverse on the Nintendo DS
We’ve already posted news and multimedia content about the upcoming Ben 10: Omniverse game from Namco Bandai a few weeks ago, but most of the screenies and videos we posted were from the home console ports even though the game will also have ports on the Nintendo DS (possibly because PR people only want to show the screenshots that look gorgeous onscreen – the handheld ports only output low res images so they won’t look good as stills).
In the case of the DS port of Ben 10: Omniverse, the screenshots for the handheld port is very important because they differ from the home console versions. For one thing, the DS version is a 2D sidescrolling beat em up, as opposed to the console versions, which are in third person isometric beat em up format.
One thing we can get out of the screenshots is that the game features a whole lot more transformations than the early Ben 10 games on the Nintendo DS. The screenies, however small, show Crashhopper, Shocksquatch, and a menu screen where you select different forms:
You can also watch the promo video from Namco Bandai (they only show the home console versions, though, as stated above).
