Beyblade Burst mobile game launches, Switch game detailed

A while back we shared information regarding some new Beyblade Burst video games and we’re back with even more! Beyblade Burst Rivals, the new puzzle mobile game for iOS and Android devices has launched in most international markets. The free-to-play title is now available to download on iTunes and Google Play.

But that’s not all of the Beyblade Burst video game goodness on the way. Furyu has detailed its upcoming Nintendo Switch project Beyblade Burst: Battle Zero. Due out in Japan on October 25th, the game will feature over 40 characters, including protagonists Valt and Aiga, as well as more than 50 fully customizable Beyblade tops.

Thanks to the Nintendo Switch’s enhanced graphics capabilities, compared to earlier Beyblade Burst titles on Nintendo 3DS, the battles are realistically rendered with exciting visuals. The game also features a unique launching system only possible on Nintendo Switch. The left Joy-Con becomes the launcher, where you can utilizing motion controls to determine the angle you’d like to launch at. The right Joy-Con becomes the winder and pulling it back behind the left Joy-Con will launch your Beyblade into battle. In battle, shaking your Joy-Cons can give your top the power it needs to win. The above promotional video demonstrates how this feature works.

Beyblade Burst: Battle Zero will cost 6,980 yen physically and 6,280 yen digitally. The phyiscal print of the game will include a bonus Beyblade top that’s yet to be revealed. A western release of the game hasn’t been announced.

A reboot of the Takara Tomy franchise that originally debuted in 1999, Beyblade Burst began in 2015. The anime series is currently in its second season in North America, with television partners Disney XD and Teletoon. The show is currently airing its third season in Japan, which is expected to debut in the west this fall.
