Another Live-Action ‘Ben 10: Alien Force’

Ben10 Live Action

They did it once before, and now they’re going to do it again!  Get ready for a whole new Ben 10 live-action made-for-TV movie!  The last one, Ben 10: Race Against Time, was really popular amongst friends.  No date has been announced yet for the movie, but we know its coming! Originally, Ben 10 grew to fame in animated form on the appropriately titled Cartoon Network.n However, in recent years, Cartoon Network has been expanding the boundaries of what it is willing to air – in other words, showing more than just animated cartoons. Ben 10’s live action performances were amongst the first to break through this barrier, and the success has obviously been pretty big for them to produce another.

Is this the beginning of Cartoon Network splitting their schedule? Half of the time running cartoons, half of the time with live action shows? We’ve seen other cable networks drift from their title, most notably Nickelodeon’s sister network, MTV. There was a time Music Television was the home to nothing but music videos, and any fans of the channel now know there’s very little (if any) music videos on the station. Heck, some of the best cartoons in the past years, including Beavis and Butthead and Daria, came from MTV.

Now, it’s not likely to think Cartoon Network will start running Nickelodeon cartoons, or anything like that, but it’s interesting how willing they are to convert their animated juggernauts into live action. Even more interesting that the fans are so ready to see their favorite cartoons portrayed by actors.

So, what’s your take on the topic? Are you more interested in watching the Ben 10: Alien Force cartoon? Or would you prefer the live action take? Or, in the always fun third option, are you just happy to see anything Ben 10, regardless of the format?
