Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Mitefall series finale

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Mitefall series finale

For three seasons and 64 episodes, Batman: The Brave and the Bold has been one of the most fun, most unique cartoons we can ever recall – which is an especially impressive feat considering just how many Batman cartoons there have been in the past few years. But, BatB found a way to present the Dark Knight as the lighter Caped Crusader, even to today’s “grim n’gritty-fiending” audiences, appealing to kids and adults alike, with action, humor, and thousands of in-jokes to animation and DC Comics fans. Now, as we work towards the 65th episode on November 18th, we’re not only facing the season finale, but this Friday’s toon marks the series finale. But the folks behind the cartoon have saved the best of all for last, with the presentation of Mitefall.

It seems not only have we been following the Batman adventures on Cartoon Network, but so has Bat-Mite, the Dark Knights biggest fan. However, unlike us here at ToonBarn Studios, Bat-Mite has grown a bit tired of this Batman’s adventuring. He feels the series has run its course, and prefers to stray away from this lighter take on the character – as if the formula of the cartoon had grown tired and repetitive. To remedy this, Bat-Mite decides he’ll work on a way to make the show so bad, that the network producers will be forced to cancel it, in exchange for creating a darker one.

With a darker, CG animated series already announced in the Dark Knight’s future with Beware the Batman, maybe the Bat-Mite’s reality isn’t all that different from our own, after all.
