Beware The Batman!

During their New York City upfront presentation, Cartoon Network has announced that their 2012-13 programming line-up will include a brand new addition to the Batman cartoon franchise, entitled “Beware The Batman”.

Beware the Batman is a new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise. The series uses core characters from the Batman mythos, but includes a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in any of the animated shows. This version of Batman is backed by the ex-secret agent Alfred and the lethal swordswoman Katana. New villains named include the likes of Anarky, Professor Pygm Mister Toad, and Magpie.

Beware the Batman uses cutting edge CGI graphics to bring Gotham city and its various inhabitants to life, and promises to give a new generation of fans their very own Batman. The show will be produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Beware the Batman is scheduled for release on 2013, though there are no specific dates provided yet.
