Cartoon Network Acquires Global Rights to My Knight and Me
Cartoon Network has recently announced their global acquisition of the CG animated medieval comedy series My Knight and Me, which is distributed by leading international kids’ entertainment outfit CAKE. Crated by renowned French producer TeamTO and Belgian producer Thuristar, My Knight and Me tells the ongoing story of a trio of knights in shining armor. The series already enjoys a great audience built through its debut in the UK earlier this year via Turner’s Boomerang, and has continued to premiere in additional markets in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM throughout 2017.
My Knight and Me revolves around the loyal but street-smart Jimmy the Squire, the fun and daring Cat the Princess, and the charmingly inept but chivalrous knight Henri of Orange. Together, the knightly trio try to make the dark ages a little bit bright and a whole lot more fun.
Readers who want to check it out should get the Cartoon Network app, as a sneak peek of an episode titled “The Cat and the Swan” will be made available through the app all throughout December. The episode is designed to celebrate Dragon New Year, with Bad Jack attempting to throw Henri and Jimmy into a bottomless pit only for his plan to be thwarted by the queen – who goes ahead and accompanies Cat in her rescue mission while dressed in the outfit of her childhood role model, “The Swan.”
