Cartoon Network knows How to Train Your Dragon

As one of the more successful movies in the DreamWorks Animation empire, How to Train Your Dragon pulled in some big bucks at the box office – $500 million worldwide. With a sequel in the works, Cartoon Network has some equally large plans in store for the soon-to-premiere animated series. Based entirely off the CG world created in the 3D film, the comedy toon will follow Hiccup, a young Viking, and his unlikely friendships — some with dragons, others with hunters. Twenty six episodes are being prepared for the first season, set to kick off in 2012. And while this doesn’t confirm the film will make it’s TV debut on Cartoon Network, it certainly is looking likely! …and scaly!
