Cartoon Network to Release Steven Universe Soundtrack in June

Cartoon Network has recently acknowledged Steven Universe fans’ call for a soundtrack release, as they have announced the digital release of “Steven Universe Soundtrack: Volume 1” worldwide on Friday, June 2. The album will consist of songs that were originally heard in Steven Universe’ 120 plus episodes, most notably its iconic theme song “We Are the Crystal Gems.”

The “Steven Universe Soundtrack: Volume 1” digital album will feature re-mastered songs handpicked by series creator Rebecca Sugar and performed by the Steven Universe voice cast, including Zach Callison (Steven), Estelle (Garnet), Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl), Michaela Dietz (Amethyst) and Tom Scharpling (Greg), as well as special performances by guest stars and Sugar herself.

“I am so excited about this album that I hardly have the words. We poured our hearts into these songs and now they’re finally collected and stunningly re-mastered by our composers Aivi & Surasshu,” said Sugar.

“I can not say enough about how much I love each of these tracks! But I can say that this is the best they’ve ever sounded! Please blast them! Please sing along! That’s what these are for! If the music of Steven Universe has been a tiny piece of the score of your life, please know that I am so honored. I hope you’ll love this album as much as we loved making it.”

Interested fans can purchase the album when it is released on digital music stores, and on all major streaming platforms. A full track list is forthcoming, so stay tuned to Cartoon Network’s social feeds to get info firsthand as it is released.
