With all the cop dramas on TV today, it’s difficult to tell the good ones from the bad ones. Or the Looney ones from the Daffy ones, for that matter. Take this week’s episode of The Looney Tunes Show, for example, where Daffy’s obsession with TV star Steve St. James leads him to a real-life quest for justice. With Porky at his side, and a full world of toon folk to question, it’s finally time for Daffy to make his patrol as an Off Duty Cop. How does this fare for his roommate, when Bugs Bunny’s caffeine addiction makes him the criminal target Daffy must hunt down? Be sure to TOON in to Cartoon network on Tuesday, October 25th, at 8pm for Looney Tunes Show: Off Duty Cop.
The Looney Tunes Show Off Duty Cop: What’s up Doc? Your caffeine levels!
The Looney Tunes Show Off Duty Cop, office chase
The drama starts when Daffy meets the lead actor at a local book signing. Daffy, of course, doesn’t fully grasp the concept that St. James is an actor, and his roles are for drama, and that’s where things get a little …Daffy. He grabs himself an official looking trench coat and sunglasses, becoming the off-duty cop he idolizes – despite not recognizing that impersonating an officer is a crime, itself. As with St. James’ character, Daffy requires a chauffeur, and enlists Porky to be this sidekick.
Beyond that? Pure mayhem. And a seemingly never-ending supply of handcuffs, as Daffy “arrests” just about anyone that crosses his path. This is one episode of the Warner Bros. toon you simply do not want to miss — legally!
