Fresh TV unveils Total Drama Daycare

A couple of months back we caught wind of what we thought was the working title for the newest season of Total Drama. It turns out that was pretty much the final title. Fresh TV has announced Total Drama Daycare, a new prequel to the hit franchise, is headed to Cartoon Network in the United States and Teletoon in Canada in 2018.

Total Drama Daycare re-introduces favorite cast members like loveable Owen and uptight Courtney but ages them down from teenagers to toddlers. While the cast may be pint-sized, their teen personalities are fully-formed with the voices we know and love and each episode is packed with dream sequences, cutaways, visual jokes, confessionals and flashbacks. So, whether it’s using Uber to have a Ferris Bueller-style day off or scaring away a new teacher, our cast is ready to scale the walls, hack the school computer and do whatever it takes, because make no mistake… these toddlers are here to PLAY!

Total Drama Daycare is scheduled to run for 52 eleven-minute episodes.

Created by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch, the first incarnation of the franchise, Total Drama Island, premiered on Teletoon in Canada back in 2007 and concluded in 2015 after five seasons, a spinoff and 146 episodes. Cartoon Network aired the series in the United States. The series is represented globally by CAKE, who has helped distribute Total Drama to over 260 countries worldwide.
