Gearing up for Generator Rex
One of the really cool things about animation is that there’s no limitation on “new”. Between theaters, television, and DVDs (or even streaming video!) there is always new toons ready to be seen. Take for example, Cartoon Network’s upcoming animated series Generator Rex. Initially teased early last year, Man of Action and Cartoon Network are now ready to bring Generator Rex to the public. The pair has formerly had major success with Ben 10 and Ben 10 Alien Force, and with all the effort put behind this series, it’s a safe bet we’ll see the same.
UPDATE – Generator Rex debuts April 23, 2010
This cartoon follows the adventures of a 15 year-old boy named Rex. Rex’s special gift isn’t a fancy watch or the ability to transform into monsters… rather, he can create machines with his pieces of body. How? Well, he was infected by microscopic nanites, of course. The ability goes as far as transforming his arms into “smackhands” to do battle. Sweet!
Before you know it, he’s fighting super villains while working for an organization known as Providence. The group sends him around the world, hunting various monsters that were affected by the same mysterious nanites. But no worries, he’s not alone! His two sidekicks are Bobo Haha and a character known only as Agent Six.
“Agent Six”? Yeah, “ToonBarn Rob”.
