Pokemon the Movie: Black Victini and Reshiram
Last week, a very small group of fans across America got to see the latest Pokemon movie in theaters, Pokemon the Movie: White Victini and Zekrom. Unfortunately, the screening only hit 200 theaters throughout the entire country – by comparison, large movie releases can be on as many as 4,000 screens, so don’t be too surprised if Pokemon the Movie wasn’t in your area. Regardless, the folks at Pokemon Company International have some good news for you: the second part of the feature, Pokemon the Movie: Black Victini and Reshiram, will air for free on Cartoon Network, December 10th at 7pm. So what is the premise?
The plots of both films are similar, at least up until Reshiram and Zekrom enter the story of each film. That is where the films become unique from one another, but it’s easier to think of Black and White as two different bits of perspective on the same overall story.
As the story goes, the Kingdom of the People of the Vale once ruled over the land, but now all that remains is the Sword of the Vale in the city of Eindoak. That’s a lot of poetic sounding terminology, but it will all make sense, promise 🙂
It all starts so simply, just like a regular episode of Pokemon Black and White, when Ash, Iris, and Cilan head to Eindoak during a Pokemon Tournament. There, the crew meets up with Victini, who wishes to share its powers of victory to someone. And, if “victory” isn’t the greatest power ever, especially in battle, what is!?
Meanwhile, Damon, a descendant of the People of the Vale, seeks to revive the kingdom’s power with the Sword of the Vale. It’s just like someone to try to ruin a good thing! Now, Ash and company must stop Damon before he destroys the land along with Victini.
