SDCC 2013: ToonBarn interviews Tara Strong from Teen Titans Go!

Tara Strong, who plays Raven on Teen Titans Go!, is being interviewed by ToonBarn's Marc Morrell at SDCC 2013

She plays Raven on the wildly popular Cartoon Network show, Teen Titans Go! Of course, you also know her as Bubbles on The Powerpuff Girls, Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) on Beware the Batman, Timmy Turner on The Fairly Oddparents, Mary Jane on Ultimate Spider-Man, Twilight Sparkle on all the different My Little Pony series’, (sorry, had to pause to breathe) Harley Quinn on Robot Chicken DC Comics Special and in video games, Young Ben Tennyson on Ben 10, Terrence on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and a million other roles in video games, cartoons, and animated features. OK, maybe not a million, but IMDB lists her involvement in 358 different titles, with more than a thousand different characters from doing multiple roles in each title.

Tara Strong is such an amazing actress, that she can handle male and female roles, children, adults, animals, fairies, superheroes, villains, aliens, and whatever you can think of in between. Her vocal range is incredible! She has been voice acting for 25 years. She has a HUGE fan following on both Twitter and Vine, which she is constantly updating with new content. She has legions of fans that show up to meet her in person at all the conventions she attends. She should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Can we make sure that happens, please?

That is why ToonBarn readers will understand that Marc Morrell was extremely honored to be able to interview Tara Strong before the Teen Titans Go! Panel this last Sunday, July 21, at San Diego Comic-Con. ToonBarn wants to thank Tara Strong, Teen Titans Go!, Warner Bros Television and Cartoon Network for this wonderful interview.

I am a Big Fan of all types of animation. Like a lot of things, the cream always rises to the top. My favorites have included Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels, anything Pixar, Phineas and Ferb, Voltron Legendary Defender, and the DC/WB Animated Films. I have a lot of Old School favorites as well, such as Star Blazers, Voltron, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby Doo.
