“LSW: THE EMPIRE STRIKES OUT stars @ADaniels3PO , @SamWitwer and many other Star Wars greats past and present. 9/26 @ 8PM on Cartoon Network!”

“I apologize for the flood of EMPIRE STRIKES OUT tweets flowing from me in the next 10 days. But somebody’s gotta publicize this sucker!”

“Don’t know when it’ll be on UK TV, but it will. And I’m pretty sure it’ll be out on DVD at some point. Maybe early next year?”

“Hope you like the show. The Vader/Maul stuff is lots of fun, IMO.”

So, that’s the first word on this new Star Wars Lego Special for Cartoon Network. Watch Cartoon Network in the US on Wednesday, September 26, at 8 PM ET. The Empire Strikes Out is sure to be a hit with Star Wars and Lego fans alike. With Anthony Daniels, Sam Witwer, and a host of other popular voice artists providing voices, this is sure to be top notch. For animation fans, this is a no-brainer in entertainment value.

For those of you who might not know who Michael Price is, he wrote the previous Star Wars Lego Special, The Padawan Menace, last year. LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace was a LEGO-brick, non-canon, thirty-minute TV special. It aired on Cartoon Network on July 22, 2011. It was released on blu-ray disc and DVD on September 16, 2011.

Here is a trailer from Lego Star Wars: The Padawan Menace:

The Padawan Menace, directed by David Scott, starred Anthony Daniels, Tom Kane, Nika Futterman, R. Martin Klein, Phil LaMarr, Katie Leigh, Robert Paulsen, David Scott, and Tim Gaul. John Williams provided the music.

Michael Price has also been a Writer and Producer for The Simpsons, and is listed on IMDB as a writer for the upcoming animated series, Star Wars: Detours.

Stay tuned to ToonBarn for more information about Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, and possibly some more screenshots and video previews. We’ll also be talking to Michael Price in an exclusive ToonBarn Interview to be released just before the premiere of Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, on Cartoon Network, on Wednesday, September 26 at 8 PM ET.

I am a Big Fan of all types of animation. Like a lot of things, the cream always rises to the top. My favorites have included Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels, anything Pixar, Phineas and Ferb, Voltron Legendary Defender, and the DC/WB Animated Films. I have a lot of Old School favorites as well, such as Star Blazers, Voltron, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby Doo.
