Last week, we saw Lion-O fully take footing of his position as Lord of the ThunderCats when he summoned the ancient power of Sight Beyond Sight. But maybe just discovering the gift isn’t good enough; maybe he needs to master the skill. On the November 11th episode of the 2011 ThunderCats, The Forest of Magi Oar, the Elephants send Lion-O to the Forest of Magi Oar, where the leader must baster the Sword of Omen’s Sight Beyond Sight ability before returning to the Elephant Village. Sure, that’s all well and good — but now what about the paper warriors?? And forest ghosts? Maybe Cheetara or Panthro could handle them…? Robear Bill… you still around, buddy?
You know what Panthro always says, “the problem with ghosts is you can’t punch them in the face.” And that simple fact has never been truer. Unfortunately for Lion-O, you also can’t slice them through the face when the Sword of Omens stops listening to you. So, honestly, how are you supposed to master the art of Sight Beyond Sight when you can’t even get a little team up “HOOOO” going?
Then again, maybe Lion-O doesn’t need to worry about gearing up the ThunderCats when a group of paper warriors known as the Wood Forgers show up in their defense. Are these guys friends? Enemies? Just the regular sort of group you run into while in the Forest of Magi Oar?
Maybe there’s more to this forest than meets the eye — and not just the Eye of Thundera. With Lion-O’s powers failing, the Sword of Omens unresponsive, a whole legion of ghosts, demon birds, and soldiers with paper weapons… maybe this is exactly the type of environment needed to perfect a specialty known as “Sight Beyond Sight”. The question is, will Lion-O learn it in time…? TOON in to Cartoon Network on Friday, November 11th at 8:30pm for the newest episode, ThunderCats: The Forest of Magi Oar.
