Fanmade Trailer for The Legend of Korra – Book Three

While Legend of Korra co-creator Michael Dante Dimartino has recently revealed that they have already finished an entire season’s worth of shows for book 3 (via his personal Tumblr), we don’t have an official trailer yet. Enter: Legend of Korra fan Bigby Wolf, who has cobbled together an unofficial trailer for the upcoming season using various footage and images that have already been posted on the Internet.

You can watch the fanmade trailer for The Legend of Korra Book 3 below, but keep in mind that it could spoil some things if you aren’t up to date:

Nickelodeon and Dark Horse’s graphic novel Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Rift Part 1 managed to debut at the top of the New York Times’ Best Sellers list for the week, beating the massively popular The Walking Dead Compendium. The new graphic novel continues Avatar: The Last Airbender, and serves as a great companion to The Legend of Korra.

Book 2 of The Legend of Korra, despite receiving praise from fans and critics alike, went through a bit of a rough spot in terms of ratings due to some problems with scheduling, but it seems like there’s no need to worry about the series’ future as co-creator Bryan Konietzko has recently used his Tumblr account in order to provide a teaser for Book 3.

Nick Launches Legend of Korra Avatar Line for the Xbox Live Marketplace

Nickelodeon has just announced the launch of a new line of Avatars based on..urhm…the latest Avatar, Korra, for the Xbox Live Marketplace. This should be a nice way to reassure fans that the franchise is still healthy and will be around for some time, despite Nick seemingly rushing Book 2 this month. The new Legend of Korra avatar line will allow gamers and fans to customize their avatars with various apparel, character props, bending powers, t-shirts, and costumes (including Korra’s signature outfit) inspired by the hit animated action series.

The avatar line was developed specifically by The Legend of Korra series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Kunietzko, and are already available for purchase and download at the Xbox Live Marketplace. he line features 10 downloadable items, ranging from $1.00 – $4.99. Additionally, the collection will be available on Xbox One, next month.

Legend of Korra: Book 2’s Final Trailer Released

After the long wait, Avatar fans can finally continue bearing witness to the latest Avatar’s story as book 2 of The Legend of Korra will officially make its debut on Friday, September 13, at 7 PM on Nickelodeon. Season 2 will pick up six months after the events in the first season, with Korra making her way to the South Pole in order to explore the Southern Water Tribe. Additionally, it is said that the focus will be on the mystical “Spirit World” and the history of the Avatar lineage.

New Nick.Com Game: Legend of Korra Book 2: Dark Into Light


This week, has released a brand new browser-based action game based on the Legend of Korra series, titled Legend of Korra Book 2: Dark Into Light, which is based on upcoming episodes from the new season of the top rating animated action series.

In Legend of Korra Book 2: Dark Into Light, the player is thrust into the role of the upstart Avatar and tasks her with ridding the land of various dark spirits and enemies, via dozens of sidescrolling action levels with rich animations, impressive effects and parallax scenes that will keep gamers on their toes.

The Legend of Korra: Republic City Hustle Part 3


Nickelodeon has finally released the last part of their three-part short video series “Republic City Hustle,” which is a spin-off of The Legend of Korra. The three-part webisode series offers fans a rare peek at Mako and Bolin’s childhood.

The short is set three years prior to the start of The Legend of Korra, and follows Mako and Bolin as they try to make ends meet through small time hustling and working with the Triple Threat Triads, placing bets for Pro-Bending matches. The short tells the story of how Bolin meets Pabu, and how the pair went from almost becoming criminals to earning an opportunity to train with the Pro-Bending legend, Toza. You can check out a non-exclusive clip, in which Mako and Bolin make a bet that could change the game forever, below:

The Legend of Korra Short Clip: Republic City Hustle


Nickelodeon has just released the first in a series of three video shorts spun off of The Legend of Korra. Titled “The Legend of Korra: Republic City Hustle,” the short lets fans get a glimpse of Mako and Bolin’s childhood, with the events depicted in the webseries taking place three years before the events of Book 1.

The first webisode is titled “Hustle or Get Hustled,” and follows Mako and Bolin as they enter the crime-infested underworld of Republic City, where you either get hustle or get hustled instead. The duo decides to set up a fake robbery of an older woman’s purse, in order to con her into giving them a reward.

First Official Footage from Legend of Korra – Book 2: Spirit


Earlier this year, Korra’s voice actress Janet Varney tweeted that Legend of Korra will be airing around “mid-April.” Fast forward to today and it’s obvious that she overestimated the time frame, but it’s only a slight delay and not an indication that the series will not return, as Nickelodeon is obviously gearing up for Book 2, based on a new preview footage that was posted on IGN.
