Trailer: Mickey Mouse Returns in Epic Mickey 2

Trailer: Mickey Mouse Returns in Epic Mickey 2

The first Epic Mickey on the Wii received marginal praise from gamers, but the overall sales didn’t exactly break new grounds. Now, Mickey Mouse is all set for another round as he returns to consoles in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Much of the gameplay in Epic Mickey 2 resembles the first game, only this time around, Oswald is a second player who will help Mickey beat challenges. Oswald can be controlled by player 2 or by the AI. Instead of a paintbrush, Oswald uses a remote control that can either fight or befriend enemies.

Adventure Time DS Gameplay Trailer

Adventure Time DS Game Teaser Trailer

D3Publisher has just released a new trailer for their upcoming game based on the hit Cartoon Network Series Adventure Time. The game is going to be released on the Nintendo DS which means two things – first is that there will be no 3D mode, which is fine because 3D is for pansies, and second – it means nobody will be left behind (or forgotten?) because the game can be played by 3DS users and people who still play on a DS.

High Moon Studios Develops Deadpool Video Game

High Moon Studios Develops Deadpool Video Game

High Moon Studios seems to be one of the few game devs these days that really know how to translate established licences into enjoyable videogames, as evidenced by its successful adaptation of the Transformers license into the videogame format (via Transformers: War for Cybertron and its upcoming sequel, Fall of Cybertron).

It’s therefore understandable that fans would be excited when High Moon teased an upcoming Marvel game, which has now been confirmed to be a videogame adaptation of the Deadpool franchise. A teaser has been released through the SDCC:

Mario Goes for the Gold in New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer

Mario Goes for the Gold in New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer

Nintendo has just released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming 3DS title New Super Mario Bros. 2. The gameplay showcases the various power-ups in the game, which you have to admit, is one of the more fun things about the 2.5D platformer. You’ll recognize the regular power ups like the mega mushroom (which I believe is hands down the best power-up EVER in the franchise), the mini mushroom, and even newer ones like the invincibility leaf.

One of the more interesting power ups shown is the Gold Flower, which allows Mario to shoot golden fireballs, which transform any enemy or block it hits into gold coins. That’s certainly the kind of power up that would prove to be useful in the real world.

Injustice: Gods Among Us 15 Minute Trailer

New Trailer for DC Comics' Injustice: Gods Among Us

We’ve already seen a cinematic trailer and a special moves featurette for the upcoming DC Superheroes-themed fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, but both seem lacking in actual content, merely providing glimpses of what we can expect from the game itself. Last weekend’s EVO 2012 tournament has seen fit to rectify the mistake with the release of a 15 minute trailer hosted by Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon:

New Trailer for Dragonball Z for Kinect

New Trailer for Dragonball Z for Kinect

There’s a new trailer out for the Xbox 360’s Kinect-enabled Dragonball Z game, and this time, aside from showing us how silly we’d look while punching and kicking in front of the TV screen, it also shows a few bonuses that you’ll get with Dragonball Z for Kinect, the first being the inclusion of the never-been-released-in-the-US-and-Europe Episode of Bardock special, which tells the story of Goku’s father, and how all that trouble with Freeza, the Saiyans, and the legend of the Super Saiyan started.

The 3DS Gets Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden this Winter

The 3DS Gets Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden this Winter

The Nintendo 3DS is going to get a new Naruto game this winter, and instead of the usual Shippuden-based game that you’ve probably already seen too many times before, it’s going to be based on Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, which is a hilarious spin-off of the series in which every single character is portrayed as chibi versions and the series’ trademark elements are played for laughs.
