Kick Buttowski and Disney head to Astral June 1st

Starting June 1st, Astral Media will launch the Disney XD Channel, bringing tons of new toons to tons of new fans. Included in the mix are Kickin’ It, Wingin’ It, What’s Up Warthogs, and Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. The launch of the channel will also bring I’m in the band and Phineas and Ferb over from the Family Channel, reuniting them with their Disney brothers and sisters. Just a few more months to go!

Disney Channel and Disney XD score big 2010 ratings

In the history of Disney Channel, 2010 is now officially the highest rated year ever, bringing more eyeballs to the network than any other era. The channel averaged over 1.7 million viewers during the span of the entire day, and even beat other other major networks in specific demographics. Disney XD didn’t do too bad itself, pulling in it’s biggest ratings ever – even including the era the channel was known as Toon Disney. Nearly 300,000 folks watched the channel every day, up about 15% from 2009. Are you part of the new ratings boost? New episodes of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil on Disney XD

On Monday, June 21st, Disney XD will be hosting a Night of Premieres, bringing all new episodes of fan favorite series. Included in the mix is an hour long episode of Zeke and Luther, but making special highlights are two brand new episodes of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. The animated adventure toon will be boasting a number of special guest celebrity voices, including Adam Carolla, Simon Helberg, Jeffrey Tambor, and Emily Osment. Fans have been loving Clarence “Kick” Buttowski’s climb to become the world’s greatest daredevil, ever since the series premiered a few months ago. Have you been following since?

Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil

This weekend marked the premiere of Disney XD’s newest original series Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. The flash-animated series, powered by Sandro Corsaro and voiced by Charlie Schlatter, and originally known as Kid Knievel, focuses on Clarence “Kick” Buttowski, a young boy who aspires to become the world’s greatest daredevil. The premiere this past Saturday scored well for the fourth Disney XD original series, the first of the bunch to be animated. Each show is actually two mini-shows, with quick, adventurous tales.
