The Looney Tunes Show New Premiere Date and Time: Oct. 2 at 8/7c

The Looney Tunes Show will be making its grand return to Tuesday Nights this October 2 on the Cartoon Network. Catch the season premiere of the hilarious prime time animated sitcom featuring Bugs, Daffy, Porkey, and the rest of the Looney Tunes universe as they try to coexist in a single neighborhood, with madcap hilarity often ensuing.

The season premiere begins with the episode ‘Bobcats on Three,’ in which Daffy’s fibs and Bugs’ vices cause all kinds of trouble in the neighborhood. The problem lay in the fact that Daffy, aka Dr. Duck, has already tried every known occupation known to man (at least, that’s what he thinks) except for one: Coach. When Gossamer and his friends ask Daffy to serve as the coach of their water polo team, Daffy gladly accepts, despite not knowing the first thing about water polo, or even swimming for that matter. The kids teach him a life lesson about winning and losing, and he also learns that horses don’t belong in the pool.

Superbowl Sunday Cartoon Marathons

Superbowl Sunday Cartoon Marathons

Just last Sunday, roughly three-quarters of the nation, and a decent-sized chunk of the world, was enthralled with the Super Bowl battle between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. As the NFL season comes to a close, every football fan does what they can to soak in the day. But let’s not forget, even with that huge audience, there are still people out there who would rather spend their time cartooning. Thankfully, several channels and networks did what they could to offer an alternative to the big game, including a bunch of Super Marathons.

Point, Laser Point

Point, Laser Point

The Looney Tunes gang we’ve come to know and love is absolutely no stranger to entertaining. Between their cinematic appearances, dozens of TV series, and countless commercials and guest spots, they’ve been entertaining us for generations. On this latest episode of The Looney Tunes Show, the challenge will be entertaining one of the eldest in these generations; Granny.

This Tuesday, prepare yourself for another episode of pure, wacky hilarity as The Looney Tunes Show will find Bugs Bunny in a very difficult situation, with the crazy wabbit trying to hang a shelf for the purpose of displaying his Nobel Prize. But, as expected of a Looney Tunes episode, this very simple activity turns into a completely messy situation, and hilarity soon ensues. Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales also guest stars, as they find themselves temporarily homeless due to Bugs Bunny’s shelf activities.

Remembering the old: Looney tunes

Remembering the old is a multi-part series discussing the most famous old cartoons in the history of animation. Our first cartoon might be the greatest and most legendary of them all: Looney Tunes. The toon and franchise has, for generations, entertained and marked the live of many among us. Originally, the toons were a compilation of shorts, ranging between 6 and 10 minutes, featuring a variety of characters Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam and Taz, with Buddy, Porky Pig, and Bugs as the main stars.

The Essential Daffy Duck DVD is Out Now

The Essential Daffy Duck DVD is Out Now

This week saw the release of Warner Bros. The Essential Daffy Duck on DVD shelves. The two-disc set, which retails for $26.99, contains 2 DVDs packed full with 21 Daffy Duck classics, such as Porky’s Duck Hunt, one of the many skits with Porky Pig as a hunter and Daffy as his unlucky (or lucky, in this case) target – this is not to be confused with the much better episode with Yosemite Sam as the hunter and Daffy and Bugs both playing the target, but it’s understandable since that episode is Bugs’ more than Daffy’s (Yosemite Sam is Bug’s Bunny’s villain).

Bugs gets buzzed and Daffy patrols on Off Duty Cop

A decent part of tonight’s Looney Tunes Show episode will feature the transformation of Daffy Duck, from mildly annoying roommate to mildly annoying pretend detective. Bugs, on the other hand, is going through his own transformation. Never passing up an opportunity to spout “What’s up, Doc”, Bugs heads in to the doctor’s for a routine checkup when he discovers his caffeine intake is too high. Maybe there’s something wrong with 50 cups of coffee a day, who knows. Upon the doctor’s recommendation, Bugs tries to calm his caffeine rages a bit, hoping a switch to Yosemite Sam’s new energy drink, called Spargle, will do the job. Days of sleepliness later, and Bugs realizes he’s cleaned everything he owns and taken care of a year’s worth of chores in just a few hours. Maybe this isn’t the best substitution.
