New DC Nation Clip: Robert Valley’s Wonder Woman

dc-nation-wonder-woman

Cartoon Network’s DC Nation programming block has always been a great source for interesting new takes on our beloved DC comic book superheroes, from the hilarious toddler version of Superman to the equally hilarious farm animal version of the Super Friends, to the amusing take on Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wondergirl as an exclusively-tween supergroup.

However, as the previous paragraph reveals, most of DC Nation’s shorts tend to serve comedic purposes, so Robert Valley’s new Wonder Woman short is nothing short of refreshing. It features a highly stylized animation style that evokes both retro and modern sensibilities, without getting in the way of the narrative, which basically boils down to Wonder Woman kicking ass regardless of its size. You can watch the clip below to understand what I’m talking about:

Neil Raymundo

A cowardly and treacherous Toonbarn blogger who can transform into a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. Secretly wants to replace Toonbarn Rob as leader of the Decepticons. Currently working as an intern at Blitz Marketing Group.
