DC Superhero Girls: Intergalactic Games Flies to Digital HD and DVD
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment will be teaming up this May in order to unleash DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games to the home entertainment market. Notable for being the second feature in the groundbreaking, girl-targeted franchise, now the superpowered girls of Super Hero High and their action-packed struggles against Korugar Academy can be part of your home video collection.
DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games will be released on Digital HD on May 9, 2017. Those who want something more tangible for their troubles can opt for the DVD format release, which is slated for a May 23, 2017 launch. Both DHD and DVD releases will come packed with special features consisting of seven animated short. Those who opt for the DVD version will get a bonus exclusive music video for the song “That’s My Girl,” from the powerhouse girl group Fifth Harmony.
The official synopsis:
Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee and Katana square off against Korugar Academy in the Intergalactic Games, but trouble is in the air as Lena Luthor takes advantage of the gathering of the Supers to enact her villainous plan. It’s up to the DC Super Hero Girls to fight the forces of evil and protect their school. With Wonder Woman’s strength, Supergirl’s speed, Batgirl’s strategic knowledge, Poison Ivy’s ability to make things grow, Harley Quinn’s energy, Bumblebee’s ability to shrink, and Katana’s fearless personality… anything is possible.
