Sam Daly, who plays Superman on Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, is getting interviewed at San Diego Comic-Con

Flashpoint Paradox Week: Sam Daly Interview

ToonBarn's Marc Morrell talks to Sam Daly about his role as Superman on Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

Getting to play the part of Superman is a very prestigious position to be in for anyone involved with acting or voice acting. There are so few people who have had the chance to be Superman, in all of his 75 years as a DC Character. You’re all probably thinking of those actors now, as we speak. So, you can imagine that the chances of having a father and son who have BOTH played Superman would be quite low. Even a .000001 chance is enough, apparently.

There is no prouder moment in a father’s relationship with his son, than when the son follows in the father’s footsteps, and does exactly what the father does for a living. Sam Daly had already done that when he became an actor over 10 years ago. He’s been in movies and television, playing roles in Red Tails, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, and 90210, to name a few. But his father, Tim Daly, would have never guessed his son, Sam, would be playing Superman, just like he did from 1996-2000, in Superman: The Animated Series.

So, would you like to see how proud Tim Daly is of his son, Sam, for getting the role of Superman in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox? We aim to please. In this next video, you’ll see Sam getting inducted into the League of Supermen, with some really cool guests joining Sam and Tim as well.

Sam’s Dad was also at the San Diego Comic-Con Panel for Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, where he was able to see the extremely positive reactions of all the fans to his son’s job as Superman. ToonBarn was lucky enough to be able to interview the newest member of the League of Supermen at San Diego Comic-Con. In this interview, Marc Morrell talks to Sam about how different his Superman is, at least in the beginning of the altered universe, and how he becomes the Superman we all know. Sam also lets us know what he would change if he could go back in time.

ToonBarn would like to thank Sam Daly for our interview at San Diego Comic-Con, and of course, we have to thank Gary Miereanu and Warner Bros Home Entertainment for the interview session, the panel, and the screening of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

I am a Big Fan of all types of animation. Like a lot of things, the cream always rises to the top. My favorites have included Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels, anything Pixar, Phineas and Ferb, Voltron Legendary Defender, and the DC/WB Animated Films. I have a lot of Old School favorites as well, such as Star Blazers, Voltron, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby Doo.
