Trailer for Justice League: War

Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has recently released the first official trailer for their upcoming home video release, Justice League: War. This new animated take on DC’s premiere superteam is based on the 2012 graphic novel ‘Justice League: Origin,’ written by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, which provides a look at the world before the Justice League was created. This will mark the first animated take based on DC Entertainment’s ‘The New 52.’

Justice League: War focuses on a time when the powerful Darkseid and his massive army stages an invasion of Earth, prompting a group of heroes who were previously unaligned, misunderstood, and even hunted down by the authorities to band together and work as a cohesive unit. The heroes Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Flash, and Cyborg will combine their powers and try to defend the planet from the invading army.

You can check out the video below:

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR features the voices of Jason O’Mara (Vegas, Terra Nova), Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs), Justin Kirk (Weeds), Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory), Serenity, Firefly), Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible III), Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds), Sean Astin (LOTR films), Bruce Thomas (Army of Darkness) and Steve Blum (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox). Producer is James Tucker and director is Jay Oliva from a script by Heath Corson.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will distribute JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR as a Bu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and for Digital Download on February 4, 2013.
