Wonder Woman Sequel Dated

The Gal Gadot-driven Wonder Woman film was a surprise hit for Warner Bros., raking in more than $389 million in the US alone, despite fears among critics that the film will suffer from the poor critical acclaim of Batman v Superman, and the many controversies surrounding the film prior to its release (including the ridiculous debacle over Gal Gadot’s underarms.)

So it stands as no surprise that a sequel is already under way, but what is a surprise is that Warner Bros. has already penciled it in for a specific date. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gal Gadot will be reprising her role as Diana Prince in the Wonder Woman sequel on December 13th, 2019. Director Patty Jenkins is still in talks to return, but given the success of the first film, it also wouldn’t come as a surprise if she returns to direct the sequel as well.
