Sanrio and DC Team Up for Hello Kitty x Wonder Woman

Sanrio has recently joined forced with DC in order to bring to life a timely, and we dare say extremely cute, inter-franchise crossovers: Hello Kitty Wonder Woman. As the name implies, the character is Sanrio’s Hello Kitty mascot, dressed up in full regalia as DC Comic’s Wonder Woman, which has recently enjoyed a surge of mainstream popularity as a result of the highly successful blockbuster film starring Gal Gadot.

The crossover is no coincidence, as the Gal Gadot-helmed Wonder Woman film will be released in Japan on August 25, and Sanrio will be running a tie-up promotional event that lets fans pick up a vinyl Hello Kitty Wonder Woman key holder, as well as a mini reprint of the original 1941 Wonder Woman included with advance ticket sales for the film. Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has expressed excitement over the collaboration, as she admits to being a fan of the franchise and by extension, the crossover.
