Marvel’s X-Men franchise has seen 4 movies to date; X-Men in 2000, and sequels X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand (in 2003 and 2006, respectively) as well as last year’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Each has pulled in about $200 million, fueling the super hero genre for Disney’s newest acquisition. Now, producer Fox Studios has plans to bring the series back for a 5th film, dubbed X-Men: First Class. A release date has been set for June 3, 2011, and Matthew Vaughn will take the director role, running with a script idea by Bryan Singer. No casting news has been recovered yet, nor even a list of Mutants, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Stay TOONed!
