Cameron Boyce Guests on Marvel’s Spider-Man
The wall-crawling, web-slinging animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man will be debuting via a special one-hour episode on Disney XD this coming Saturday, August 19 at 7 am ET/PT, and the upcoming series will feature a special guest: Cameron Boyce, who is known for playing Carlos in Disney’s “Descendants” franchise and Conor on Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.
In one of the episodes titled “Osborn Academy”, Boyce will be lending his voice to the character named Herman Shultz. Herman is described as a driven young scientist who, along with his best friend Clayton Cloe, is an expert in the creation of wearable technology and the inventor of “gauntlets” that can control vibrations. Longtime comic book fans will recognize the character via his alter ego, Shocker.
“Osborn Academy” will debut on August 26. In the story, Herman is auditioning for the prestigious Osborn Academy, a school famed for being the place for geniuses. The strict competition for a spot in the academy pits Herman against his friend Clayton.
The impressive voice cast for Marvel’s Spider-Man includes the likes of Robbie Daymond (Bread Winners) as Spider-Man, Max Mittleman (One-Punch Man) as Harry Osborn, Nadji Jeter (Jessie) as Miles Morales, Melanie Minichino (Blaze and the Monster Machines) as Anya Corazon, Josh Keaton (Voltron: Legendary Defender) as Norman Osborn, Fred Tatasciore (Marvel’s Avengers Assemble) as Max Modell, Laura Bailey (DragonBall Z) as Gwen Stacy, Nancy Linari (The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest) as Aunt May, Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille) as Uncle Ben, Scott Menville (Teen Titans) as Doc Ock, John DiMaggio (Clarence) as The Jackal, Alastair Duncan (The Batman) as Vulture, and Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada — also executive producing the series — as the coffee shop owner Joe.
