Disney, Marvel's X-Men: First Class tops box office

In it’s first weekend to theaters, X-Men: First Class took the top spot from contenders like The Hangover Part II and Nickelodeons Kung Fu Panda sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2. Disney’s movie about Marvel’s Mutants took home $56 million in the three day span, an impressive start, though about $30 million shy of the last film in the franchise, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which clawed $85 million. As the world of super heroes across the Marvel universe slowly creep their way into film, largely anticipating a mass crossover with next years Avengers, it’s good to see that the original super team of mutants can hold their own.
