Gravity Falls gets complete series release on home video

In an unusual move for a Disney television series, Gravity Falls is receiving a complete series home video release from Shout! Factory in North America. The hit Disney Channel original series will be available in one box set on either DVD or Blu-Ray on July 24th.

The Collector’s Set will contain the entire 40-episode show over 6 discs, with an additional disc devoted to special features. While Shout! hasn’t shared what kind of bonuses you can expect, it’ll include new material produced specifically for this release. Fans should act fast, though as Shout! Factory plans on releasing a complete series set that won’t include the bonus disc.

Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch shared the news on Twitter, pointing out that it’s pretty uncommon for a Disney series to get a complete home video release. He also asked fans to name the kind of bonus features they’d like to see on the set.

The MSRP for the DVD release is $60, while the Blu-Ray version will set you back $100. Shout! Factory’s online store has both available for 20% off the list price. If you purchase from them, you’ll not only receive the set two weeks early, you’ll also get a bonus 18″ X 24″ rolled lithograph with the new art at no additional cost.

Gravity Falls debuted on Disney Channel in 2012. The series concluded with a one-hour finale on February 15, 2016, on Disney XD. The show follows twins Dipper and Mabel as they confront the paranormal in Gravity Falls with their great-uncle Stan.
