How to Train your Dragon takes flight, chomps the box office

DreamWorks latest CG adventure, How to Train Your Dragon, took the lead this weekend at the box office, flapping it’s giant bat-like wings to dominate the top spot with nearly $45 million dollars. The film was found in over 4,000 theaters across the US, falling just short of the previous DreamWorks Animation opening, Monsters. Vs. Aliens, which pulled in a monster-sized $59.3 million last year. Disney and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland pulled in a respectable second place with $17 million during it’s fourth weekend, bringing the total near $300 million.
