We’re already at the point where Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has reached its last legs, and people are just about ready for Xenoverse 3 or have moved on to other games like JUMP FORCE or Dragon Ball FighterZ. But it looks like Dimps and Bandai Namco are not yet done with the game – a recent announcement reveals that a free “lite” version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will launch for the PS4 and Xbox One on March 20.
The Lite version will come with a sampler of the story mode, covering the Raditz’s Attack story mission all the way to The Galactic Emperor. It also includes online battles, the Hero Colosseum mode, and the ability to transfer the save data to the full game upon purchase.
Currently, there are no announced plans to have the same free Lite version for the PC. The game just had a small update patch, but it would not be surprising if Bandai Namco chose to forego the PC platform, out of fear that players will mod the lite version and make purchase of the full game unnecessary.
