Dragonball Z: Battle of Z Gets a North American Release Date

dragon ball z battle of gods

Namco Bandai’s latest Dragonball 3D fighting game, Battle of Z, was originally announced with a Japanese release on January 23, 2014, with no confirmation on whether it will get a North American release. The recent batch of screenshots revealed for the game, however, came with a confirmation and an actual release schedule for the North American port: January 28, 2014. So it seems like us with US consoles don’t really need to wait that much.

The screenshots show a few welcome sights, such as the presence of skyscaper-tall enemies (not just the Oozarus, but other colossal characters in the series like Hirudegarn or Meta Cooler). Some of the screenshots also show the different variations some of the characters have, such as the four different Cells or the four different Gokus. There’s also a shot of Battle of the Gods’ main villain Bills, and his assistant Whis. That last one in particular is interesting because Whis didn’t fight in the movie but was hinted at being even more powerful than the god of destruction Bills.
