FUNimation Announces World Dub Premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F

FUNimation Entertainment has recently announced that the latest film in the Dragon Ball franchise, Resurrection “F”, will be getting is English dub and will be making its world premiere on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 8:00 pm at the Regal LA Live Stadium 14 in Los Angeles, CA. The premiere will coincide with the opening night of the largest anime and manga convention in North America, Anime Expo 2015.

FUNimation has only recently completed principal production on the English dub of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, which was written by series creator Akira Toriyama and directed by Naoyoshi Yamamuro. The movie picks up where the last film, Battle of Gods, left off – with Goku and Vegeta now training under Whis and Beerus in order to master the Super Saiyan God form. However, they’ll have their work cut out for them as one of the series’ most memorable villains – Frieza – has been resurrected and after finding out how strong Goku has become in the interim, the malevolent space dictator trained for the first time in his life and achieved a new transformation. Can Goku and Vegeta defeat this massively powered-up Frieza? And can the Earth survive the destructive force that will be unleashed when they finally meet on the battlefield?

“We’re pleased to premiere the English dub of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” during Anime Expo 2015,” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of FUNimation. “Our cast and crew have done an amazing job with the dub. Fans will enjoy every minute of it — from the first scene through the ending credits.”
