If you thought Arc System Works’ Gorgeous 2.5D anime fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ will have a roster that’s a little bit on the thin side, the latest announcement proves you wrong. But we’re going to guess that this is one of those rare times where you’re glad that you were wrong, because there’s 3 new popular characters that has been added to the roster: Kid Buu, Adult/Mystic Gohan, and SSJ3 Gotenks.
The announcement came via the latest issue of V-Jump magazine, and features images (and stats) of the new characters, as well as some new info on the game itself:
Based on the promo images, SSJ3 Gotenks has his trade mark super kamikaze ghost attack, and will also be able to use the charging ultra buu buu volleyball as a special meteor attack, with the help of whoever his current partner is. Adult Gohan also has a unique skill by way of “Unlock Potential,” which uses up his ki gauge in order to boost his power. And of course he has the family trade mark attack – the ultimate kamehameha. Kid Buu on the other hand, uses a Planet Burst attack as his special. The scan claims that it can wipe out the entire planet, so it’s a safe bet that it’s going to be one of the most damaging attacks in the game (though time will tell if it’s just massive damage or a one-hit win attack like Android 16’s.)
Dragon Ball FighterZ hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the west on January 26.
