New Preview for Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope
We’ve already posted a blog entry about the fan made film Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope a few weeks ago (or a couple of months ago?) but news about the live-action adaptation of The History of Trunks were few and far in between, and it’s easy to get the impression that the project has went the way of the do-do, like so many other attempts to add another D to Akira Toriyama’s iconic 2D franchise.
However, creators Robot Underdog has recently proven that the project is very much alive, by posting a preview video that is significantly meatier than the first one. Like the first video, this one showcases the actors and the special effects, but also shows you how well-done the fight scenes are. The film still looks rough around the edges, but we’re chalking it up to the inherent difficulty of adapting the Dragon Ball Z concept to live action, and in any case, they’ve already done way better than Evolution – using what we suspect is a mere fraction of the budget Hollywood had.
