New Screenshots Released for Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden


While people are still drooling over Golden Frieza making his/her/its way to Dragon Ball Xenoverse, another much-anticipated Dragon Ball Z game is generating buzz via a set of in-game screenshots: Arc System Works’ 2D fighter for the Nintendo 3DS, Extreme Butouden.

The screenshots show off the kind of quality 2D spritework that people expect from the makers of the Guilty Gear and Blazblue franchise, and we can bet that it’s going to look particularly good on the 3DS’ small screen. Content-wise, the screenshots show off tag pairings and characters that you rarely (if ever) see as playable on DBZ games, including Master Roshi’s pet, Turtle.
