New Trailer for Dragonball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi
SUH-WEET! Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for their latest Dragonball game, Ultimate Tenkaichi. The usual heavyweight villains are shown, as you can expect from any Dragonball game trailer (especially ones that are from the Tenkaichi series, since their selling point is the sheer number of characters they have.): Cell, Frieza, Buu are all featured, but surprising is the appearance of villains that only appeared once in movies, such as Metal/Cyber Cooler, Janemba, and the towering Hirudegarn.
The trailer also shows off the character creation mode. This is a new feature, as the old Tenkaichi games (or any Dragonball game for that matter) only have character customization modes. It used to be that you can only power up or debilitate a pre-existing character, but now you can create a new one from scratch. Move over Goku, enter: Super Saiyan Grandma (with tail!).
The video is only in 360p, so there’s nothing special. It’s not HD but it manages to show how sleek and smooth the graphics are. The sound is entirely something else; if you have high quality headphones or speakers with a decent bass, you may want to crank the volume a bit and listen to the scenes when characters power up – THAT’s how all DBZ games should sound.
Dragonball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi will be available on the 28th of October for the Xbox360 and PS3.
